Thomas "Tom" C. Lemons

May 15, 1954 - June 4, 2025

Tom Lemons, age 71, of Omaha
Left this world after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Tom was born in Fremont on May 15, 1954 to Roy and JoAnn 'Rashleigh' Lemons, along with two brothers Doug and Bryan. Tom graduated from Fremont High School in 1972, and before heading to Nebraska Wesleyan University he worked for his Uncle Bill at Western Engineering. Tom continued working for his uncle at various times throughout his lifetime. Tom continued his education at Nebraska Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. He had planned on attending medical school but instead decided to pursue a career in finance. Tom started as a ''Stock Broker'' in the early 80's and built quite a business, and more importantly many lifelong relationships. He spent a summer in France as a guest of a client. Tom spent many years in Finance, had a few start up ventures as well as other jobs. Tom was not defined by any one career, but more for his zest for life.

Tom was a man of many talents and enjoyed several hobbies. Tom was gifted with a beautiful voice he shared with many as a performer in local musical theater productions such as Fiddler on the Roof as Tevye and as a member of church choirs, barbershop quartets, the Master Singers and the Broad Street Revue to name a few. The outdoors was Tom's playground. He took countless trips to the Rockies where he felt at home fishing, camping or sitting around a camp fire and enjoyed many adventures with his Jeep Club, SMMP. His love for the outdoors lead him to some of his hobbies including a collection of rocks, fossils, and plants that all had their own unique stories.

To have known Tom is to have known joy, adventure, and friendship. With his quick wit, infectious laugh, and generous heart Tom will be missed many friends and family.

Special Thanks to all the medical staff who helped Tom through his battle.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brother Doug.

He is survived by his brother Bryan Lemons of Maryville, MO., nieces Alisha (Nathan Claycamp) of Liberty, MO., Casey (Spencer McGinness) and Uncle Bill (Muriel) Lemons of Harlan, IA.

Closed Casket Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9:30am until service time, 10:30am, at the Fremont First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
